Our Team

Dr. Diana Huizar, PhD, NCSP

Co-Founder & Consultant

Dr. Diana Huizar, PhD, NCSP, is the Co-Founder of Wise Mind Systems, a school psychologist, systems consultant, Marine Corps veteran, and postdoctoral psychology fellow specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

She partners with school and district leaders to address challenges such as chronic absenteeism, ineffective data use, difficult team dynamics, and improvement efforts that struggle to gain traction. Her work focuses on strengthening the adult skills and systems that allow good strategies to actually work.

Drawing from school psychology, implementation science, systems improvement, and DBT, Dr. Huizar helps leaders navigate complex problems, strengthen collaboration, and move from reactive problem-solving to clear, sustainable action.

She has partnered with school districts across Colorado to improve attendance, strengthen leadership practices, and build more effective systems for both adults and students.
